Wooden and imported flat-pack furniture rarely survives a factory floor, a school corridor or a hospital store for long. MEK has made industrial furniture in its own steel factory for decades, alongside its fire doors and warehouse racking. The range covers staff, student and smart RFID lockers, filing cabinets and steel almirahs, tool cabinets and trolleys, workbenches and workstations, and grade 304 stainless steel tables, cabinets and benches for food, pharmaceutical and clinical areas. Most pieces can be built to your sizes, compartment counts and lock type, and they are delivered across Uganda and to East and Central African countries.

Industrial work tables with 304-grade, 16-gauge (1.5 mm) stainless steel tops in a satin finish, fully welded 30 mm square-section stands and a stainless undershelf. Wall or centre tables, 500–700 mm wide and 900–3000 mm long, plus 316 acid-resistant tables for pharmaceutical use.

MEK Stainless Steel Medical Cabinets combine glass-shelved upper storage with an independently locked narcotics locker, drawers and a closed lower compartment, divided by a stainless steel work surface. One-piece wall-mounted hand wash troughs in 1.5 mm grade 304 stainless steel, for places where several people wash at once. 800 mm to 2500 mm long for 2 to 5 users, or up to 3300 mm made to order, pre-drilled for taps with integral wall brackets and a flush grated waste.

Steel Filing Cabinet
MEK Steel Filing Cabinets store and organise office documents securely. Made from prime mild steel sheet, each drawer runs on MS rails rated for 30 kg and has a card frame for labelling, and a central locking system secures every drawer at once. A typical 4-drawer unit holds about 200 flat files. Available in 1 to 4 drawer configurations.

From MEK Uganda directly. We supply staff lockers, student lockers, gym and swimming pool lockers and smart RFID lockers, in configurations from a single compartment up to 18 per unit.
Can lockers and cabinets be made to custom sizes?
Yes. Compartment count, height, shelves, hanger rods and lock type can be set to suit your space and number of users.
What lock options are available?
Standard key locks, padlock strips and combination locks. Smart RFID locks open with a card, fob or wristband and can be managed centrally with an audit trail.
Do you make stainless steel furniture for hospitals and food plants?
Yes. We make grade 304 stainless steel work tables, storage and medical cabinets, mobile cabinets, racks, cross-over benches and hand wash troughs. Grade 316 is available on request for pharmaceutical and laboratory use.
Can MEK furnish a complete workshop?
Yes. We combine workbenches, tool cabinets, tool trolleys, shelving and lockers, and can supply warehouse racking for the store room as well.
Do you deliver outside Uganda?
Yes. MEK Uganda delivers across Uganda and to all East and Central African countries, including Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan and the DR Congo.
