Description
MEK Fire Doors are UL Listed steel, wood and MDF fire-rated doors and frames engineered to compartmentalize and contain the spread of fire, meeting life-safety standards for commercial and industrial buildings. The range spans standard steel fire doors, wood/MDF fire doors finished to match interiors, full UL-labelled door and frame assemblies, and emergency exit/fire exit doors fitted with panic hardware.

Specifications
- Door thickness: 45–75mm
- Face/back steel: 1.2mm galvanized steel; frame 1.2–2mm galvanized steel (UL range)
- Standard single-leaf opening: up to 1200mm W x 2850mm H (max. ~3.5m² face area); double-leaf up to 2250mm x 2400mm
- Fire resistance: withstands 450°C+ per NFPA-80; PCSIR-witnessed testing confirmed the 2-hour rated door withstood temperatures above 1,000°C
- Glazing: 8mm, fire-rated up to 180 minutes
- Kick plates: stainless steel, brushed finish, 200mm standard height (custom heights available)
- Finish: standard RAL colour range, 30% gloss paint, minimum 40 microns
Standards and certifications: NFPA-80, NFPA-252, UL 10B, UL 10C (USA); BS 476: Part 22:1987, BS EN 1634-1:2008 (UK/EU); EN 179 (emergency exit devices), EN 1125 (panic exit devices), EN 1935:2002 (hinges). Independently tested by the Pakistan Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (PCSIR) — passed a 2-hour fire rating under UL-10C/NFPA-252.
