Description
The Automatic Elevator Fire Curtain is a fire and smoke barrier for lift openings, made from tough fibreglass fabric housed in a compact ceiling headbox. When the fire alarm system triggers it, the curtain descends by gravity to stop fire and smoke spreading through the lift shaft, and a push-button retraction lets anyone inside the lift get out. It is available from MEK Uganda.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the elevator fire curtain deploy?
It stays hidden in a ceiling headbox and descends by gravity when the fire alarm system sends a signal, so it works fail-safe.
Can someone trapped in the lift get out after the curtain drops?
Yes. A push-button override retracts the curtain so occupants can exit safely without manual intervention.
How much does the Automatic Elevator Fire Curtain cost in Uganda?
Pricing depends on size, fire rating and hardware. Contact MEK Uganda for a quotation based on your opening schedule.
