Description
The Automatic Horizontal Curtain is a fire-resistant fabric barrier that closes horizontally across voids and compact spaces where conventional fire protection is impractical. It deploys on a signal from the fire alarm, smoke detectors or building management system, driven by a 24V DC or 230V AC motor with UPS backup. MEK Uganda offers it with above-slab or under-slab mounting.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where is a horizontal fire curtain used?
It is designed for ceiling voids and compact or confined spaces where a vertical curtain or conventional fire protection cannot be installed.
Does it work if the power fails?
Yes. The drive is UPS-backed, so the curtain still operates during a power failure.
How much does the Automatic Horizontal Curtain cost in Uganda?
Pricing depends on size, fire rating and hardware. Contact MEK Uganda for a quotation based on your opening schedule.
