MEK has been manufacturing fire doors for over a hundred years. Flammable Storage Cabinet
A fire-resistant safety cabinet for flammable liquids, solvents, paints and inks, tested to EN 14470-1 for 30 minutes (Type 30). Double-wall steel with insulation, thermo-expanding door seals, a thermo-fuse that seals the vents, and doors that close themselves at 50°C.

Cylinder Storage Cabinet
A ventilated, lockable steel cabinet for 2, 3 or 4 gas cylinders of 10, 47 or 50 litres. It vents leaking gas to atmosphere, has two safety doors with locks and 30-minute fire resistance, and is epoxy powder coated.

Chemical Storage Cabinet
A chemical storage cabinet keeps toxic laboratory solvents and hazardous chemicals safely segregated and contained. MEK's fire-resistant cabinets are tested to EN 14470-1 for 30 minutes (Type 30), with double-wall steel construction, polypropylene spill trays, 5 mm safety-glass doors that close automatically in a fire, and a Ø 100 mm exhaust connection.

Volume Control Damper
A volume control damper (VCD) sets and balances the air delivered to each zone of an HVAC system. MEK VCDs come round, rectangular or custom-shaped, in galvanised steel, aluminium or stainless steel, with sealed aerodynamic blades and manual or motorised operation.

Single Blade Damper
A single blade damper is a simple, cost-effective damper for balancing airflow in HVAC ducts. One galvanised steel blade, set with an external balancing toggle, adjusts how much air flows into each branch duct. It suits low-to-medium velocity systems (typically 2–6 m/s) in homes, offices and warehouses, in a range of sizes to match the duct.

Multi-Blade Control Damper
An HVAC damper with several adjustable blades across the duct, for precise control of airflow rate and direction in larger ducts and higher air volumes. Round or rectangular, manual or motorised, in aluminium, galvanised or stainless steel, with blade seals to cut leakage.

Louvre Damper
A louvre damper, also spelled louver damper, uses a set of fixed or adjustable blades to control the volume and direction of air at ventilation openings and in ducts. MEK louvre dampers come in aluminium, galvanised or stainless steel, single-blade or multi-blade, with weather-resistant coatings and seals for intake, exhaust and façade openings.

Isolation Damper
An isolation damper, or shut-off damper, closes off airflow to a section of an HVAC system so unused zones or equipment can be isolated. MEK isolation dampers come manual or motorised, round or rectangular, with corrosion-resistant options, saving energy and supporting fire and smoke containment in commercial and industrial buildings.

Inlet Vane Damper
An inlet vane damper, or variable inlet vane (VIV) damper, controls the air volume entering a fan, blower or air handling unit by adjusting the angle of airfoil-shaped vanes. It cuts energy use and noise and suits commercial HVAC, dust collection, fume exhaust and power plant fans.

Fire and Smoke Damper
Fire and smoke dampers close automatically to stop flames, smoke and toxic gases spreading through a building's ductwork. MEK supplies fire dampers, smoke dampers and combination fire/smoke dampers rated for 1, 1.5 or 2 hours, activated by fusible link, smoke detector or fire alarm signal, in sizes from 4″ × 4″ to 48″ × 48″.

Face and Bypass Damper
Two linked dampers at an air handling unit coil: the face damper passes air through the coil and the bypass damper routes it around. Blending the two gives precise supply-air temperature control, with freeze-protection and preheat options. FB, FBH and FBR configurations.

A butterfly damper controls airflow with a single pivoting disc or vane that rotates inside the duct. MEK butterfly dampers come round, square or rectangular from 6″ to 144″, with manual, electric or pneumatic actuation, spring-return and failsafe options, and up to 99% shutoff for HVAC and process air systems.
