MEK has been manufacturing fire doors for over a hundred years. Back Draft and Pressure Relief Damper
A back draft and pressure relief damper lets air flow in the intended direction and closes automatically when flow reverses or pressure drops. MEK builds them with gravity or spring-loaded blades in galvanised steel, aluminium or stainless steel, for inline or wall mounting, in sizes from 6″ to 144″, for HVAC systems from residential to heavy industrial duty.

Automatic Fire Curtain
A fire and smoke barrier stored on a roller that drops automatically to divide a building into compartments, without permanent walls or heavy doors. Rated up to 180 minutes, tested to BS EN 1634-1, BS EN 1634-3, UL 10D and UL 1784, with Certifire third-party accreditation.

UL 10B Hose Stream Fire Curtain
A 3-hour fire curtain certified to UL 10B, including the high-pressure hose stream test. Multilayer fibreglass and stainless steel fabric in a 229 × 229 mm headbox drops by gravity, giving wide openings a lighter alternative to steel fire shutters.

A fire-rated fabric curtain with a built-in egress door, so corridors and lobbies are compartmented without blocking escape. It drops on a fire alarm signal by gravity fail-safe, is tested to UL 10D for up to 180 minutes, and complies with NFPA 80, 101 and 105.

Automatic Horizontal Curtain
A fire-resistant fabric barrier that closes horizontally across ceiling voids, atria and floor openings where vertical curtains won't fit. It deploys on a fire alarm, smoke detector or BMS signal, with a 24V DC or 230V AC UPS-backed motor and above- or under-slab mounting.

Automatic Elevator Fire Curtain
A fibreglass fire and smoke curtain, rated up to 180 minutes, hidden in a ceiling headbox above the lift door. On a fire alarm signal it drops by gravity to stop fire and smoke moving through the lift shaft, and a push button retracts it so anyone in the lift can get out.

Fire Rated Steel Door MEK-1005
The Fire Rated Steel Door MEK-1005 is a galvanised steel fire door for compartmentation in industrial, commercial, residential, hospital and airport buildings. It meets NFPA 80, UL 10B and UL 10C, is tested to BS 476 Part 22 and BS EN 1634-1, and is available from MEK Uganda.

Fire Exit Door MEK-1008
A galvanised steel fire exit door with a square vision panel glazed in 8 mm, 180-minute fire-rated glass, so people can see through before they open it. Tested for 30 to 120 minutes to UL 10C and NFPA 252, with a 44 mm leaf, 1.5 mm frame, pre-fitted smoke seals and EN 1125 panic hardware options.
